- Parents use the moodboards set for each theme to inspire themselves to bring their own creations/outfits for each look of the day. Studio Wardrobe is available for hire at an additional request and can be requested directly via my facebook group (or email)

I created the workshop experience in 2014, When i began my career journey as a photographer I developed a day that would enable all children to come along and feel confidence growth, make friends and make ever lasting memories. My first workshop event hosted 15 children over the past 10 years it has grown in popularity and gained interest for those willing to try something a little different for the day.
I get asked all of the time, do you have to be a model to take part? what about being in agency? do you just take girls? ... no to all of those, I created this day for everybody. I tend to start the age of children participating at age 5 as the day is long and demanding physically, there is no restriction on gender and no experience on set if ever needed it is a day for learning, expressing and trying something new.
I take so much pride in the unique concept of this day, I am proud to have continued this experience for 11 years and feel so happy to be asked when another is upcoming and how to join.
MODEL MINDS IS A WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE DAY CREATED FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS, GIRLS AND BOYS TO ENJOY A DAY ON SET FULL OF CREATIVE OPPORTUNITY.
RUNNING ORDER OF THE DAY:
9AM, Welcomes one parent and model to our day, Children come ready dressed in a plain white t shirt or blouse, blue jeans and white trainers.
Dani will introduce everybody to the day with a welcome talk and begin runway training with each group of children, they will have the chance to walk the runway, be shown how to move, pose and cover their spacial awareness. After their training experience children are released to parents to prepare for their runway walk in costume and hair and makeup.
Around 10.30AM we will begin the runway show, parents are seated to watch all the children walk the runway in their chosen outfit. This is filmed and photographed.
Following the show children are released to change and prepare for the second look which is our first photoshoot. Model groups will be called and parents can expect around an hour between each shoot for preparation and hair and makeup changes.
A small break then enables a change of set for the third look photoshoot, Model groups will be called and the process repeats on our second look shoot experience.
Once models have completed their shoot they are released to prepare for their final chapter of the day, the red carpet where we finalise the day with a celebration of all involved. Each model will be presented with a certificate of participation and a medal of participation by our team we then collect together for the awards presentation.
PLEASE NOTE* Parents are required to bring styling/clothing for each theme set for your child, MODEL MINDS encourages creativity from both the parent and child for their own personal vision. If you seek help my additional option allows for rental of any garment from my studio wardrobe that must be reserved in a separate post that is linked in this group on facebook or can be emailed my studio wardrobe is located on this website under dress hire. You are also required to do your child's hair and makeup look unless you reserve a spot with one of our team HAMU Artists, Asha or Becky and Romy. This is to be booked separately and directly with them.

THE THEMES
Each Model Participates In ALL Themes in this order for the day
LOOK 1: WESTERN (Catwalk Runway)

This is the Runway Walk, the first look of the day that is a show with parents and friends watching and children walk the stage runway. This theme is LIVE and photographed and filmed.
Cowgirls and Cowboys dream this however you wish, Boots, Hats and Country Tones this is a great universal fashion theme that can be simple or crafted creatively for high fashion runway purpose.
LOOK 2: BUBBLE, POP, ELECTRIC (Photoshoot)

My Editorial Vision is TO POP! Pastels and Bold colour tones with lots of inclusion of circles and spots. Bubblegum is a major focus here my set background will be turquoise to enhance all the vibrancy you can bring. I create this theme to be a commercial vibe with more simple styling (layering of stripes and colours) OR go wild and creative and have coloured hair different textures props and accessories it can be shaped BOTH ways.
LOOK 3: FEATHERS AND FLOWERS (Photoshoot)

My Artistry Touch is really focused on the beauty and simplicity of the feather textures and floral accents. I am focusing on a simple set that will be around a vintage distressed wall I envision alot of hair up off the face with the detail of the feathers/accents on the face and eyes. Headpieces are welcome but gentle, I see alot of high neck detail, tulle, jewels and an almost regal signature to the art of my fine art inspiration.
LOOK 4: The Red Carpet is a formal wear Photoshoot Walking the Red Carpet this finalises our day with a celebration of every single child attending our day. Each presented with their certificate and medal of participation leading into the final additional Trophy Awards.
THE AWARDS
Every child is rewarded with a medal and certificate of participation at the Red Carpet closing our days activities. Additionally we choose to recognise those who have gone a little further by standing out in various ways during our different looks of the day. Assisted by a team of industry professionals and enthusiasts we collaboratively highlight children who work in ways that show unique ways throughout the experience. Creative concept, movement, hair/makeup, props and their own effort of personal direction is included in deciding between these additional awards.

We request one parent to one child participating at the event. You are responsible for your child for the entire day and will help them change between looks. Bring snacks and water. You can choose to stay at the host hotel to extend the experience. Facilities provided at the hotel include a coffee shop and restaurant area.
Model Minds does not accept any models without a payable deposit, places are reserved in this process and they fill fast, deposits are non-refundable as you are paying for a place on the day.
Final payments are made digitally on the day of the event or in cash in person at registration. £25.00 Deposit fee is the only requirement to sign up for the day and all remaining fees will be paid on the event weekend date. This includes any optional dress hire and photo contest entry.
